Policy Research Intern
Job Position Description:
The Policy Research Intern will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by conducting in-depth research on nutrition policies, analyzing data, providing evidence-based recommendations, and creating engaging content that highlights our impacts and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive research on current and emerging nutrition policies at the local, state, and federal levels

Analyze policy proposals, regulations, and legislation related to nutrition and public health

Develop evidence-based policy recommendations to support our advocacy efforts

Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, position papers, and presentation slides

Monitor and evaluate the impact of existing policies on public health outcomes

Stay informed about the latest research and trends in nutrition and public health policy

Participate in meetings, conferences, and advocacy events

Provide expertise and guidance to support grant applications and fundraising efforts

Support the planning and execution of email marketing campaigns, including brainstorming ideas, creating content, and monitoring performance metric

Create visually appealing graphics and visuals to accompany written content (experience with design tools like Canva is a plus)

Upload and Manage our podcast series Wonder Why on Simplecast

Develop engaging and informative content for our podcast scripts

Qualifications:

Background in public health, nutrition, communication or a related field, with experience in policy analysis and research is preferred.
